MARRIED TO A STRANGER EPISODE 30

Episode 30- The Party

Amaka came to Tunde’s house and invited everyone to a party that her friend Joyce and her fiancé’s family were hosting to celebrate their upcoming wedding.

Everyone agreed to attend the party. Rita stood up and walked over to Amaka to talk to her.

Rita: “We already talked about this on the phone, so why did you suddenly come here?”

Amaka: “Oh, I just came to meet you at your house but when I found out you were here, I decided to come too. This way, I got to meet everyone again. It felt great to see everyone.”

Olamide: “You came to meet your friend Rita, right? So why did this Dave tag along with you?”

Dave: “Why? Can’t I come along?”

Olamide said directly: “No…”

Dave: “What? Why?”

Rita: “Oh, forget all this! Let’s go to my house now.”

Amaka: “Oh no, no. Dave and I have to leave now. There’s a lot to prepare. See you tomorrow evening at the party, okay? Bye, everyone… Bye, Tunde…”

Saying goodbye to everyone, Amaka and Dave left.

Rita returned to the table and sat down with everyone. Gold was sitting right next to her, she leaned in and whispered into Rita’s ear, “Amaka’s a little strange… Was it really necessary for her to say a special goodbye to Tunde?”

Hearing this, Rita couldn’t help but laugh. She whispered back, “She’s not strange; you’re just jealous. You’re feeling a little possessive, aren’t you?”

“No…” Gold turned her eyes away.

Seeing them whispering like this for some time, Tunde couldn’t hold back his curiosity anymore and asked, “What have you two been whispering about? Come on, tell me too.”

Rita: “Why? Why should we tell you? This is between us girls, so you don’t get to know.”

Hearing Rita’s reply, Tunde pouted. But Mother said, “This is such a good thing that you two have become such good friends. Gold didn’t have any friends here, but now that she has you, she won’t feel lonely at all.”

Rita and Gold looked at each other and smiled.

The Next Evening,

Everyone was getting ready to attend the party at Amaka’s friend’s house.

Tunde stood outside his room, waiting for Gold. After standing there for quite some time, he knocked on the door and said, “Hey Miss Rabbit, how much longer? You’ve been getting ready for an hour now. Why does it take you girls so long to get ready?”

Gold: “Just five more minutes…”

Tunde: “You’ve been saying ‘five minutes’ for the past hour! When will your five minutes end? At this rate, the party will end before we even get there.”

Gold is now frustrated, “Oh hello, Panla Face, you have no patience. You wouldn’t understand. It’s easy for you boys; just pull out a shirt and pants, run your hands through your hair and you’re ready. That’s it! But we girls need time to dress and do our hair.”

Tunde: “Alright, alright, just hurry up! But let me tell you, setting our hair isn’t as easy as you think.”

While they were bickering, Olamide showed up. “What’s going on, bro? Why are you shouting outside the room? Did your sister-in-law kick you out or what?”

=

Tunde: “What? Why would she kick me out? And how could she? This is my room, okay!”

Olamide: “Alright, then tell me why you’re standing outside your own room, shouting like this?”

Tunde: “Nothing. This girl has been getting ready for the past hour and she’s still saying ‘five minutes’.”

.

Just then, they heard the door open.

Gold stood in the doorway wearing a dark purple traditional dress with her hair left open. Her makeup was light, with a subtle pink lipstick that made her face glow. She was naturally beautiful and the dark dress made her fair complexion shine even more.

When Tunde saw Gold, he couldn’t take his eyes off her. It was the first time she had dressed up like this after their wedding because she hadn’t had the chance before. Tunde wanted to tell her how beautiful she looked but couldn’t find the words.

Olamide noticed Tunde staring at Gold and he wanted to tease him, so he whispered, “She’s your wife, bro. Don’t look at her like that. If you want to say something privately, I’ll leave you two alone.”

Tunde glared at Olamide but said nothing.

Gold stepped forward and asked, “What’s going on? What are you two talking about?”

Olamide: “Oh, nothing. I was just telling Tunde that instead of staring, he should compliment you without any hesitation. By the way, you look gorgeous, sister-in-law.”

“Thank you,” Gold said with a smile and then looked at Tunde. Olamide was looking at Tunde and laughing. Tunde punched Olamide lightly on the stomach and said, “Stop laughing so much. Go downstairs and get the car ready. We’re coming.”

Laughing, Olamide went downstairs.

Tunde and Gold stayed there for a moment. Gold looked at Tunde carefully. Tunde was wearing a white shirt with a black suit, and he looked incredibly handsome. Any girl would fall for him at first glance, but Gold was already smitten with him. She couldn’t take her eyes off him.

After a moment of silence, Tunde, hesitating a little, said, “I… um… left my wallet inside. I’ll go get it.”

He turned to go back into the room, but Gold held out her hand and said, “Here it is.”

She was holding Tunde’s wallet, which he was about to get. Tunde glanced at her once, took the wallet from her hand and went downstairs.

Gold felt a little disappointed that Tunde hadn’t complimented her despite all the effort she had put into getting ready. You have to make this guy praise you yourself! Where he should have praised you, he didn’t…

Gold brushed it off and headed downstairs herself, where she ran into Bukola.

Bukola was wearing a white dress and looked adorable with minimal makeup.

When Bukola saw Gold, she said, “Wow, sister-in-law! You look stunning!”

Gold smiled and replied, “You look lovely too. May no one cast an evil eye on you.”

Bukola: “Thank you, sister-in-law. But no one can compete with you. If my brother sees you, he’ll be floored.”

Gold muttered softly, “But he didn’t seem affected at all…”

Bukola: “What?!”

Gold: “Oh, nothing. Let’s go downstairs quickly; everyone’s waiting for us.”
