 EPISODE 21: LOVE AND PAIN(PART A)

Olamide drove straight out at high speed after returning from Rita’s house, starting the car without delay.

Tunde, seeing him leave like that, ran after him. took his other car and started following him.

While driving, Tunde repeatedly tried to call Olamide but despite several rings Olamide did not pick up.

Olamide’s car finally stopped in front of a bar and he walked straight inside.

Tunde was slightly behind so didn’t initially see which direction Olamide went.

However, as he came closer, he noticed Olamide’s car parked there so he too, stopped his car.

Tunde was shocked to see the bar’s sign in front of him.

“Why has Olamide come here? He never drinks.”

Now Tunde’s tension increased even more.

He rushed inside and started looking for Olamide. Olamide was sitting in a corner drinking one drink after another. He ordered another drink from the waiter but just then, Tunde arrived.

“What are you doing, Olamide? Have you gone mad? This is not you! Stop all this!”

“Why are you here, Tunde? Didn’t you hear what Rita’s father said? I’m just an outsider to them. I have no place in this world, no identity of my own. That’s why they… they don’t want Rita to marry me.”

Tunde – “Yeah!! And what did you do? You promised them you’d stay out of Rita’s life. Why??? Did you think that was the right thing to do? Did you even think about Rita once?”

Olamide – “She loves her parents very much; she would never go against her father. It’s better that I leave her. Maybe we were never meant to be together.”

Olamide’s eyes were completely red and he was heavily intoxicated, lost in thoughts of Rita. Tunde couldn’t bear to see Olamide in such a condition.

Tunde – “Come on, get up! This is enough. We’re going home right now.”

Olamide – “No, I don’t want to go anywhere. You go from here.”

Tunde – “Fine! Then I’ll go home and tell Mom and Dad that you’re sitting here drinking. Then you handle the mess with Mom and Dad yourself.”

Hearing Tunde mentioning them, Olamide calmed down a little.

Olamide had immense respect for Kunle Adeyemi and Aisha Adeyemi. He would never want them to see him like this.

But still he didn’t get up and kept sitting there. Finally, an exasperated Tunde picked him up and dragged him along.

Olamide was completely out of his senses, and Tunde worried, “How will I take Olamide home in this condition? If anyone at home sees him like this, it’ll create.”

Thinking quickly, Tunde turned his car toward a hotel. Somehow managing Olamide, he got him into a room and laid him on the bed. Olamide being heavily drunk, fell into a deep sleep.

Tunde sat by his side the entire night, unable to leave his brother in such a state.

He thought of calling Rita to explain everything but decided it wasn’t the right time. He wanted to talk to her calmly once Olamide sobered up.
