EPISODE 50
EPISODE 51: BRIDE TO BE
After thinking for a long time, finally Gold decided that no matter what happened today, she would definitely propose to Tunde and that too in a very special way…
She just couldn’t figure out how to propose. She didn’t have enough time to go out and buy a gift.
After thinking a lot, she took out some coloring papers from the wardrobe and used them to make a cute little card.
Then, in big letters, she wrote “I LOVE YOU” and wrote her heartfelt feelings below.
Along with that, she went to the garden, picked some roses and used them to make a beautiful bouquet.
Finally, all her work was done. She quickly gathered everything and placed it inside the wardrobe in such a way that no one would see it.
It had taken her quite some time to do all this, so she quickly shut the wardrobe and went downstairs.
On the way, she ran into Bukola, who was coming to call her.
“Oh, Sister-in-law, where were you?? Everyone has been waiting for you for so long…”
“Sorry, sorry… I had some important work.”
“No problem, but come quickly now…”
Both of them came downstairs and Mother approached Gold upon seeing her.
She admired her and said a prayer for her, “You look very beautiful, my dear. You are the light of our home. May no evil eye fall upon you…”
Gold took her blessings and smiled.
But someone was standing at a distance, watching Gold and getting lost in her beauty, but with wrong intentions…you can guess who it could be!!
It was Raymond.
Meanwhile, in a room, Olamide was repeatedly trying to call someone but there was no response from the other side.
Olamide was furious; he felt like throwing his phone right there.
Actually yesterday evening, Olamide had taken the number from Tunde’s WhatsApp to which Tunde had sent pictures of the wedding suits.
This was Rita’s new number, which Olamide didn’t have.
Tunde hadn’t saved it either because he knew Olamide would definitely check his phone.
So, Olamide didn’t know that the number he was calling was Rita’s.
He was calling on that number to refuse the girl for the engagement so that she wouldn’t come here at all.
But the person on the other end wasn’t answering the call.
Meanwhile, the guests had started arriving and the engagement time was approaching.
Father asked Tunde to go and call Olamide.
Tunde was also calling Olamide. He was just about to go upstairs when suddenly, everyone’s attention shifted to Olamide, who was walking in from the front.
He was wearing a white shirt paired with a purple suit and his hair was neatly styled.
He didn’t want to get ready, but today Tunde had made him dress up because Tunde knew that Olamide wouldn’t get ready on his own.
This is Olamide’s outfit.
He looks like a complete Prince Charming, right? 😊
Today, Olamide looked so handsome that every girl at the engagement was staring at him.
Many girls were already feeling jealous of Olamide’s fiancée and some were thinking, “I wish today was my engagement with him.”
But Olamide wasn’t bothered by any of this.
He reluctantly went around and met everyone.
Mother said a prayer for him and then told him to go to the stage.
“Mother, why do I need to go to the stage already?”
“Today is your engagement, not a business party where you keep roaming around. Go quietly to the stage.”
“Okay, I’m going, but what should I do there alone? Where’s the girl with whom my engagement is happening?”
“She’ll come soon. You go first, Tunde will take her and leave her there.”
Tunde took Olamide to the stage and left him there, then went to talk to others.
Gold was nearby and was secretly watching Tunde.
But today was very special, so some work kept coming up.
Everything was going well when a girl approached Tunde and said hi to him.
Tunde looked at her but didn’t recognize her.
Girl: “Hi… Do I know you?”
“No…” Tunde just refused and ignored.
“I’m Sofia… Actually, I don’t know you either.” The girl said smiling and shook Tunde’s hand.
Gold was standing far away, had been watching them for a while and was irritated with the girl in her mind.
Gold was thinking, “Now, who is this lizard? And why is she sticking to my Tunde like this? I should… No, no… calm down, Gold. Maybe she’s just his friend. But I can’t hear what they’re saying; I need to get closer.”
Gold moved a little closer, standing in a way that they couldn’t see her.
“I’m Tunde Adeyemi. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Tunde shook her hand.
Hearing this Gold thought to herself, “Look at them, how happy they are meeting. He never said anything like that to me.”
Then the girl, Sofia, started flirting with Tunde.
“Tunde Adeyemi…ahmm.. your name is as hot as you are.”
“Well… Thank you… Have you never heard my name before?” Tunde asked.
“No, actually… I just arrived from London last night. Though Nigeria is my birthplace, I mostly live in London.”
“Oh, London… Are you Rita Chibunna’s friend?” Tunde asked.
“Hey, yes… OF COURSE, how do you know her?” Sofia said surprisingly.
“Because she’s also my childhood friend. She went to London for studies and you’re here for her engagement, so I thought…” Tunde casually replied.
“Right… You’re not only handsome but also very intelligent. I really like you.”
She looked at Tunde with lustful eyes, and Tunde realized that her intentions weren’t good.
He tried to ignore her and move away but then his eyes fell on Gold, who was hiding in the corner.
He looked at her carefully and when he started coming towards her, Gold quickly turned her eyes away, so she didn’t realize that Tunde had seen her.
But she was still muttering angrily to herself.
“Oh God!! What kind of girl is this?? Flirting with my husband in broad daylight… Handsome… Intelligent… Hot… And who knows what else she’s saying. Oh God… And look at my husband, still laughing and talking with her. I won’t let them get away with this.”
Seeing the expression on her face, Tunde understood that she was probably feeling very jealous at that moment.
So to tease her a little more, he deliberately stayed there and continued talking to Sofia.
“Thank you so much for the compliments, Miss Sofia. Actually, I like you too, you’re gorgeous!”
“Oh my God… Really…
After hearing this, Sofia thought it was her chance.
But on the other hand, hearing those words from Tunde made Gold’s head almost explode with anger.
“How did I marry this guy? I do everything for him, but he can never say a few words of praise to me. And here he is flirting with this lizard. A married man behaving like this… I think I’ll have to remind him that he’s married.”
She was about to go to them when Sofia came very close to Tunde and grabbed his suit, still flirting with him.
Seeing this, Gold stopped in her tracks and tears filled her eyes.
Sofia moved closer to his face and was about to kiss him when Tunde pushed her away.
Sofia barely managed to keep her balance. She glared at Tunde in anger. “What the hell!! Don’t you have any manners?”
“Excuse me Miss, do you even know what manners mean? Clinging to a stranger like this is completely disrespectful.” Tunde angrily shot back on her.
“Oh, okay… Fine, then become my boyfriend and we won’t be strangers anymore. I really like you so much.”
“But I don’t… I’m not interested in becoming anyone’s boyfriend because I have my wife.”
“What?? You’re married?”
“Yes, I’m married. So think twice before doing anything cheap in the future.”
Hearing Tunde’s words, Gold felt a little relief.
She immediately turned and started walking away but Tunde went after her, grabbed her hand, brought her in front of Sofia and proudly said
“Meet my wife… Gold Tunde Adeyemi.”
The girl looked at Gold with strange eyes.
Gold greeted her with a “Hi,” but the girl left angrily without saying anything.
After she left, Tunde removed his hand from Gold’s shoulders.
Gold was still upset, so she started to walk away without saying anything.
But Tunde grabbed her hand again, “What’s wrong with you? Why do I feel like you’re mad at me?”
“I’m not mad… And even if I am, why do you care? Go flirt with that lizard.”
Gold said with anger.
“What? lizard… Seriously?” Tunde couldn’t control his laugh.
“Stop laughing… I’m not joking. I’ve been watching you, you two were talking so clingily. You must like her a lot, right? So go to her.”
