Tunde and Amara were both waiting for Tunde to say something. Then without any emotion, Tunde replied, “No… We can’t do anything about what has happened. Now come, we’ll drop you home. Take care.” Tunde gave a very dull response and started walking out. Amara had not expected such a cold attitude from Tunde and neither had Gold. Even after knowing everything, Amara hadn’t thought that Tunde would behave this way with her. Amara had expected Tunde to hug her immediately and welcome her back into his life, but he did nothing of that sort. Amara quickly stopped Tunde. “There is no one at my house right now. If you drop me home, Nikhil’s men will easily find me and kill me.” Hearing this, Gold was shocked and Tunde also stopped. “Don’t worry about him. He will be in jail very soon and you will be completely safe at your home. I will arrange extra security” Tunde said. “But how will you file a case? We don’t have any evidence against him.” Amara said. Thinking for a moment, Gold said, “We do have evidence. The threatening messages he sent you, that letter and you yourself are a major witness against him.” Tunde also agreed with Gold but Amara insisted again, “Please, I don’t want to get into all this right now. Look at my condition. I barely escaped with my life.” Gold found it strange that Amara didn’t want to go to the police. Tunde said nothing and walked out.

While Tunde and Gold were sitting outside talking, Gold’s phone rang. She looked at the screen and saw that Beauty was calling. Gold answered and told her about Amara. Beauty impatiently asked about Amara and said she wanted to talk to her. Gold went inside and handed the phone to Amara. Amara talked to her for a while and then gave the phone to Tunde. “Mother wants to talk to you.” Tunde took the phone. Beauty said, “Thank you, son. Today, you helped my daughter a lot. My ears had been longing to hear my child’s voice.” The phone was on speaker so Gold could hear everything clearly. She found it very strange to hear such words from Beauty because just a few days ago, when she had spoken to Michael, he had said that Amara had been in contact with her mother and assured that she was fine but just couldn’t come home. So why was she saying this now? Tunde said, “It’s okay, but you should return from Australia as soon as possible. Amara needs you both.” “Yes, I am also desperate to meet her but we can’t come right now. Amara’s father has some very important work here and he is completely occupied with it. I haven’t even told him about Amara or else he would have gotten extremely worried and wouldn’t have been able to focus on his work.
