EPISODE 36[PART A]: Love Wahala
It was morning.
Gold went to the bathroom to freshen up and Tunde was lost in the memories of the previous night.
The events replayed in his mind like a whirlwind.
Last night, Gold had been heavily drunk, completely unaware of what she was saying or doing. Out of nowhere, she had leaned forward and kissed Tunde on his forehead.
The gesture shocked Tunde. No girl had ever touched him like that before. Even though he had loved Amara deeply, their relationship had never crossed physical boundaries. They had been together for only a month before their marriage was planned. However, Amara had run away on their wedding day, leaving Tunde heartbroken.
After the kiss, Gold had lain down on top of Tunde. Her eyes were drooping due to intoxication and she looked as if she had fallen asleep.
Tunde wanting to make her comfortable, so he gently tried to move her to sleep properly. But suddenly, Gold opened her eyes and sat upright in the middle of the bed, making a face like a child.
Seeing her sudden movement, Tunde asked, “What happened?”
Gold pouted like a child and said, “I want…”
Tunde was confused. He asked, “What do you want?”
Gold leaned closer to Tunde and whispered in his ear, “Akara…”
Tunde was now utterly baffled, he asked, “What Akara?”
Gold nodded innocently and said, “I want Akara. I want to eat it. Please bring it for me.”
Hearing her childish demand, Tunde stared at her in disbelief.
Taking a deep breath, he said to her, “We don’t get Akara at this time of the night.”
But Gold was making a crying face, she said, “No, no, no! I want Akara. Please bring it for me, or else I’ll get angry!”
Tunde stared at her, exasperated and said, “Do you even know what time it is? It’s 2:00 AM! Where am I supposed to find Akara at this hour?”
Gold frowned and replied, “Oh…Mr. Panla Face, you’re so grumpy! You don’t even love me and won’t even feed me Akara.”
Seeing her on the verge of tears, Tunde tried to calm her down, “Hey, don’t start crying again over such a small thing. You had just quietened down and now why are you bringing up this love thing again.”
Ignoring his words, Gold softly muttered, “Akara, please…”
Tunde was utterly clueless about what to do. If she had asked for anything else, he could have ordered it online. But where was he supposed to get Akara at 2:00 AM?
Gold suddenly leaned closer to him, her innocent eyes looking directly into his.
She said with a mischievous smile, “Please Akara please…”
Seeing her innocence, Tunde started to melt but even if he wanted to, where would he get it at this time?
Then, out of nowhere he looked into Gold’s eyes and asked, “If I get you Akara, what will I get in return?”
Hearing this, Gold placed her finger on her cheek and started thinking. Tunde couldn’t help but smile at her childlike expression.
Gold finally spoke, “You’ll get whatever you want… Just get me Akara!”
Shaking his head. Tunde thought to himself how crazy she was.
Holding her hand, Tunde looked at her and said, “I won’t tell you. You think about it yourself. What will you give me in return if I bring you Akara?
