Episode 10: The Trip

But Bukola’s words gave Tunde an idea to solve his problem. In a stern voice, he declared his decision to everyone, “Fine, Gold and I will go on a trip, but…”

Everyone was happy to hear this, but the “but…” left them confused.

“But what…?”

“We won’t go alone. All of you are coming with us. Like Bukola said, it’s been a while since anyone has gone anywhere, so we’ll all go together. If you all agree, great. Otherwise, I’m not going anywhere.” Saying this, Tunde finished his breakfast and got up.

Hearing Tunde’s decision, everyone began to think. What kind of decision was this? The marriage was theirs, and yet he wanted to take everyone along for the trip. But knowing Tunde, they understood he wouldn’t change his mind, so if they wanted to go, they would all have to go together.

Just as he was leaving, Tunde paused and looked at Olamide. “And yes, we’ll go to Egypt, to our farmhouse. Let me know if everyone agrees, and I’ll make the arrangements. Otherwise, the idea of a trip ends here.” Saying this, Tunde left for the office. Since Olamide had some errands, he had already informed Tunde earlier that he would come late to work.

Now, it was Olamide’s turn to feel troubled.

Everyone else was thrilled about going to Egypt, but hearing the name of Egypt shocked Olamide.

“How could Tunde even think about taking me to Egypt? He knows very well that there…”

Olamide couldn’t even imagine going to Egypt, but seeing everyone so happy, he didn’t want to say anything at that moment. He too finished his breakfast and left for the office.

What just happened? Why is Olamide so disturbed about going to Egypt? Well, that’s a mystery for now… But one thing is for sure, this Egypt trip is going to be an exciting one…
