MARRIED TO A STRANGER EPISODE 9(PART B)

Episode 9B: I wished I knew You Earlier (Continued)

Grandma: “So, daughter-in-law, today you make everyone’s favorite food and prepare something sweet too. And yes, if you need help, let me know. Will you be able to cook all this?”

Gold: “Yes, Grandma, don’t worry, I’ll manage everything.”

Aisha, praising Gold: “Yes, Gold cooks very well, and you’ll love it too.”

Gold smiled hearing that.

At Adeyemi Mansion, Dinner Time

Everyone was seated at the dining table. Tunde and Olamide had returned, and Gold was serving food.

Today, she had made everyone’s favorite dishes, so everyone was really happy.

Bukola: “Wow… sister-in-law, you made Efo Riro! It smells absolutely amazing, and the semolina looks perfectly cooked! I’m really going to enjoy this meal.”

Olamide: “And my favorite Efo Riro is also made with all those delicious assorted meats… But sister-in-law, how did you know everyone’s favorites?”

Gold smiled at Aisha, who gave her a knowing look.

Tunde noticed that his favorite Efo Riro was there, cooked with fresh spinach, locust beans, and assorted meats just the way he liked it. The semolina was fluffy and golden. And for dessert, Gold had prepared a beautiful fresh fruit platter with ripe mangoes, watermelon, pineapple, and oranges, garnished with mint leaves. Everyone started eating, and they all loved the food.

Grandma also praised Gold, and Tunde liked the food too but didn’t say anything.

When Grandma noticed Tunde being silent, she asked,

“What’s this, Tunde? Gold made such good food and you’re not even praising it? Don’t you like the food?”

Gold was eager to know how Tunde liked the food, but she was too shy to ask.

However, thanks to Grandma, she got her answer. Now Tunde had no choice but to speak.

“No, Grandma, nothing like that. The food is really good,” Tunde said, just to please Grandma, and continued eating. But in reality, he did like the food a lot.

After dinner, they all chatted for a while, and then everyone went to their rooms to sleep. Gold went to her room, and as usual, Tunde was headed to the guest room. But just then, Grandma stopped him.

Grandma: “Where are you going at this hour? Your room is on the other side, Tunde.”

Tunde was taken aback.

“What should I do now? I can’t tell Grandma the real reason, and I definitely can’t sleep in that room with her. What should I say?”

Grandma: “What happened? Tell me, Tunde, is there a fight between you two? You didn’t talk much during dinner, and now you’re going to sleep somewhere else?”

Tunde: “No… no… nothing like that.”

Grandma: “Don’t lie. We’ve seen everything. We understand everything.”

She insisted and walked Tunde to his room.

“Now go, apologize to your wife and resolve the issue.”

Once Tunde entered the room, Grandma left, but not before threatening him:

=

“If you go to sleep somewhere else after I leave, there will be consequences.”

Gold was sitting on the sofa, reading a book, when Tunde walked in. She was surprised to see him.

Gold: “Why are you here? Did you forget something?”

.

“Why? Can’t I come here? Maybe you’re forgetting, but this is my room,” Tunde replied and went straight to the bed, lying down.

Gold was confused seeing Tunde lie down without saying anything.

Gold: “Are you… are you really going to sleep here?”

Tunde: “Why? Can’t I sleep here? If you have a problem, you can sleep in another room.”

Gold was thinking whether Tunde would be comfortable, but just as she was about to leave for another room, Tunde stopped her.

Tunde: “Wait, just sleep here quietly. I’m really tired. Good night.” He said and turned over to sleep.

Gold thought to herself, “Such a weird guy! One moment he says leave, and the next he says sleep here. Now what should I do? Oh God, why did you trap me like this?”
