Amidst their bickering, Tunde and Gold finally reached home and paused their argument. Both got out of the car and went inside. It was 7 in the morning, so the house was quiet and they both headed to their rooms.

An hour later, after freshening up, Tunde went to Olamide’s room to talk to him when he met Bukola on the way.

Bukola said, “Brother, when did you come? It’s good you’re here. There’s a big problem between Olamide and Rita.”

Tunde was worried, “What happened? Do you know everything about them?”

Bukola answered, “Yes, I know everything. But listen to me first.”

Bukola told Tunde everything that had happened at the party after Tunde and Gold left the previous night. Tunde hadn’t expected things to escalate so much and hearing about Olamide’s marriage lie shocked him even more.

Bukola continued, “When I asked him why he lied about getting married, he said it wasn’t a lie—he is really getting married to some girl next month.”

Hearing this, Tunde grew more concerned about Olamide, “In his anger, Olamide is making reckless decisions. Enough is enough. You stay here and don’t worry. I’ll go talk to Olamide now. But yes, don’t tell anyone at home about this, okay?”

Bukola nodded and Tunde hurried to Olamide’s room. However when he got there, no one was inside. He tried calling Olamide but his calls didn’t go through. Tunde opened the wardrobe and saw Olamide’s belongings were missing.

Distressed, he stepped out of the room. “Where did Olamide suddenly go? He didn’t say anything about leaving. How do I contact him now when his phone isn’t reachable?”

Tunde kept trying to call Olamide but the call wouldn’t connect. He even tried calling Rita, but she wasn’t picking up either.

Frustrated, he returned to his room, where Gold saw him looking troubled. She quickly brought him water. Tunde drank it all in one gulp and feeling a bit calmer, explained everything to Gold.

Hearing it, Gold also got worried and tried calling Rita but Rita didn’t answer her either.

Thinking for a moment, Tunde called his assistant Fred, who answered immediately. “Hello, sir. What’s the matter?”

Tunde asked him, “Do you know anything about Olamide? Did he tell you where he was going?”

Fred answered, “Yes, sir. Last night, Olamide Sir asked me to book him a flight to Lagos. I even asked why he was going alone but he didn’t say anything. His flight was this morning, so he should have reached Lagos by now.”

“Oh… so he went back home.”

“Yes, sir. What happened? Olamide Sir seemed very angry too.”

“Nothing… if he’s in Lagos, he’ll come to the office. Call me immediately when he does.”

“Okay, sir.”

Tunde hung up and informed Gold that Olamide had gone back to Lagos. Knowing Olamide was safe brought them some relief, but the problem wasn’t over yet.

“Maybe we should go to Rita’s house and talk to her.” Gold suggested.
