After everyone left,

The house became quiet. Tunde rested in his room due to his headache and Gold started preparing coffee for him, thinking, “He liked my coffee last time. Maybe this will help with his headache.”

Taking the coffee she went upstairs. Tunde had been trying to sleep but couldn’t because of the headache. He called out, “Aunty, please make me a cup of coffee.”

Hearing his voice, Gold walked in and said, “There’s no one at home. Uncle and Aunty had to leave for something important.”

Turning to see her with the coffee, Tunde thought of asking her to make him a cup too but didn’t have to.

“Here your coffee, I made this for you,” Gold said.

Tunde: “Why for me?”

Gold: “You’ve had a headache since morning. Coffee will help.”

Looking at her, Tunde silently wondered how she understood him so well.

He muttered a small “Thank you” and took the coffee.

Meanwhile Gold grabbed a book and sat in the balcony, leaving the door open.

As she read, Tunde kept stealing glances at her and lost in thought.

Just then, Gold’s phone buzzed with a message. It was from Rita.
