MARRIED TO A STARNGER EPISODE 9(PART A)

Episode 9(part A): I wished I knew You Earlier

Due to what Grandma had said, Gold was standing outside in the garden.

Tunde and Olamide had just returned from the office and were standing next to her. Seeing Gold standing outside like that, both were surprised.

Tunde: “What happened?? Did they throw you out of the house?? ๐Ÿ˜‚”

Olamide glared at Tunde after hearing that.

Olamide: “Sister-in-law, he means why are you standing outside like this?”

Tunde, looking at Olamide, replied: “Yeah, that’s exactly what I asked.”

Just then, Gold spoke up,

“You’ll be sad to hear this, but no one threw me out of the house. It’s just that Grandma said I can’t come inside right now, so I’m standing outside.”

“Oh, really? That’s so sad,” Tunde said with a teasing smile.

Hearing this, Olamide put his hand on his head. “These two can’t be helped…”

Tunde and Gold both asked in unison, “What did you say?”

Olamide: “Nothing… nothing. Let’s go, Tunde, let’s go inside and ask Grandma why she made sister-in-law stand outside.”

Tunde and Olamide were about to enter the house when they reached the door, but Grandma stopped them.

“Wait, you can’t come inside.”

Hearing this, Tunde and Olamide looked at each other in confusion.

“You can come inside, come in,” Grandma said to Olamide.

After hearing Grandma’s words, Olamide smiled at Tunde, went inside, and hugged Grandma.

“Hey, that’s not fair!”

Tunde was left confused, not understanding what just happened, but Gold found it all quite amusing.

Gold, teasing Tunde: “What happened, Mr. Panla Face? Did they throw you out of the house too? ๐Ÿ˜‚”

Tunde made a face as he heard this.

A little while later, Grandma came out and asked them to stand together.

“Why are you both standing so far apart? You’re husband and wife; stand closer. I need to offer prayers for both of you.”

Since it was Grandma’s order, they couldn’t refuse, and Tunde and Gold stood together while Grandma began to pray.

Raising her hands toward the heavens, Grandma prayed in a solemn voice:

“Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth, I bring this couple before You today. May Your divine light shine upon their home. I pray that no evil eye, no wickedness, no bad dreams, and no misfortune shall come near this household. As the elders of old have taught us, I cover this marriage with the blood of Jesus and the fire of the Holy Spirit. May peace reign in their hearts, love dwell in their home, and joy overflow in their union. From this day forward, may their marital home be a place of refuge, a place of blessing, and a place where Your presence abides forever. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.”

Grandma then gently touched their shoulders and blessed them.

“May your home be filled with laughter, your hearts with understanding, and your lives with abundance. Walk together in unity, and may your children’s children rise up to call you blessed.”

Hearing this, everyone smiled except Tunde, who was quietly listening. But everyone else agreed with Grandma because Tunde and Gold truly looked good together, as if God had created them for each other. When would Tunde and Gold realize this?

.

Once Grandma finished the prayers, she asked them to come inside. Finally, everyone sat on the sofa in the hall, chatting.

Tunde: “So Grandma, how you arrived unexpectedly? If you had told me, I would’ve come to pick you up.”

Grandma: “Oh, I wanted to surprise you all. What happened? Don’t you like me coming here?”

Bukola: “Oh, my dear Grandma, how could we ever have a problem with your arrival? We’ve missed you so much!”

As everyone chatted, Gold brought tea for everyone from the kitchen.

Tunde: “Okay, you guys continue talking. I have a meeting at 5, so I need to leave now.”

Grandma: “Alright, but make sure to come back early tonight. We’ll have dinner together.”

Everyone looked at Tunde because he had been coming home late for the past few days and no one knew when he ate with the family anymore.

Tunde: “Alright, I’ll come back.”

Ignoring everyone’s stars, Tunde gave a short reply and left with Olamide.
