EPISODE 54: AMARA RETURNS

The engagement ceremony was over and many guests had already left. Only a few people remained in the house.

Everyone was sitting peacefully when Aisha sent Tunde to the jeweler to bring the necklace that was to be given to Rita as a gift in the ritual of shagun.

Gold also went with Tunde.

Gold was sitting in the car with a pout and Tunde was glancing at her sideways.

“What happened?? Why are you making this face??” Tunde asked.

“I’m not talking to you.” Gold ignored him.

“Why??”

“Just not talking.”

“Are you sure?? 😊”

“You… 😊 Why do you trouble me so much??” Gold glared at him.

“Because it’s fun.”

“What’s fun in this??”

“You won’t understand, you are still a kid.”

“What?? A kid?? Me?? In what way do I look like a kid to you??”

“Mentally…”

Hearing this, Gold glares at Tunde and he starts laughing loudly.

Gold was about to say something when Tunde quickly spoke,

“Oh, oh, leave the talks now. We have reached. Let’s quickly take the necklace; everyone is waiting for us at home. Come on, get down.” Tunde quickly got out and went to the other side to open the door for Gold.

Gold said while walking.

Tunde said while smiling.

Both of them went inside and looked at the necklace chosen for Rita.

Aisha had sent them a photo, so they didn’t have much trouble recognizing it.

They had the necklace packed properly and then set off to return home.

On the way back, Gold still wasn’t talking to Tunde.

At first, Tunde was enjoying it but now he felt that Gold was genuinely angry with him and he didn’t like at all that she wasn’t talking to him.

Both were passing through the main road towards home when suddenly, A girl came in front of Tunde’s car.

The car was a bit fast, so Tunde couldn’t stop it immediately but he managed to hit the brakes just in time, causing only a minor collision with the girl.

Tunde slammed the brakes immediately, preventing a major accident.

Both Gold and Tunde, sitting inside the car, were extremely frightened.

They quickly got out of the car and ran towards the girl.

A crowd had gathered around her—some people were talking among themselves, while others were scolding the girl.

“Hey! Have you gone mad? Do you want to die? Why were you running in the middle of the road like that?”

“It’s a good thing the driver applied the brakes in time or something terrible would have happened today.”

“Yes, thank God for that driver, otherwise she wouldn’t have survived today.”

A large crowd had gathered around the girl.

Tunde and Gold struggled to push through to reach her.

“Move aside, please! We need to take her to the hospital immediately!” Gold said.

Tunde also moved through the crowd.

Although many people had gathered around the girl, no one was helping her.

Everyone was more interested in murmuring among themselves rather than assisting her. No one thought of stepping forward to help.

Tunde quickly reached her and tried to lift her up but as soon as he saw the girl’s face, the ground beneath his feet seemed to slip away.

It was Amara.

Gold also ran toward them but when she saw Tunde with Amara, she suddenly froze on the spot.

A storm of pain and disbelief surged in her heart.

She was standing beside her husband but seeing him supporting his ex- fiancée, her heart filled with turmoil.

Tears welled up in her eyes, but she tried to hide her pain.

Her heart was breaking because she realized that Tunde’s past love was now in front of her and her own love was now intertwined with someone else

intertwined with someone else.

Happiness had only recently returned to their lives.

They were slowly but surely getting closer to each other.

But this small accident, like a few drops of rain, had dampened their happiness.

They saw that Amara was injured—she had hurt her leg.

Tunde’s eyes filled with old memories. But he controlled his emotions and helped her up.

Amara looked at him and smiled but Tunde could see the pain in her smile.

Once upon a time, he had been so happy with her. But now, the distances between them and the memories of their past saddened him.

For a few moments, he saw glimpses of the happiness they once had—happiness that had now slipped away from his hands.

Gold’s pain was difficult to express but the hidden sorrow in her eyes and the way she looked at Tunde with Amara conveyed her feelings of surrender.
