Episode 6: The 5ft Rabbit and the Panla Face
Tunde went for a shower. A little while later, Gold woke up too.
She opened her eyes and rubbed them gently but panicked upon seeing herself in an unfamiliar room.
She had completely forgotten that she got married yesterday and was now at Adeyemi Mansion.
Gold picked up her clothes and was heading towards the bathroom when Tunde suddenly came out of it.
He was wearing only track pants and was drying his hair with a towel.
Seeing Tunde shirtless, Gold was shocked and let out a loud scream, turning around immediately.
When Tunde heard Gold’s scream, he panicked and started covering himself with the towel.
Now, hold on… Tunde’s reaction was a bit strange. Gold wasn’t even looking at him, so why did he feel the need to cover himself with the towel?
And honestly, what kind of guy gets so shy like this?
On the other hand, Gold’s heartbeat raced.
She felt so embarrassed seeing Tunde like that. It was her first time seeing a guy shirtless,
and that too, Tunde. who was not just handsome but had a well-maintained body. His six-pack abs made him look even more attractive.
So, it was natural for Gold to blush though she was mostly just flustered.
Tunde: “You…what are you doing here?? Weren’t you sleeping? Why did you wake up?”
Gold: “What do you mean, why did I wake up? I’m not going to stay asleep forever!”
Gold was still standing with her back to Tunde, avoiding looking at him.
Tunde, noticing this, started drying his hair casually.
Tunde: “I mean, when did you wake up? And why were you heading toward the bathroom? To see me showering? 😂 Hah, I understand. It’s not your fault. Anyone would lose their self-control seeing a hot and handsome guy like me showering.”
Gold: “WHAT? Why on the whole earth would I want to see you shower? And who are you calling handsome and hot? Look at yourself! Panla face like you! Huh… acting like a big deal…”
Tunde: “Well, you’re not exactly a fairy princess either, you know. 😂”
Gold: “Ohh, I know very well how beautiful I am. I don’t need your opinion, thank you very much!”
Tunde: “Beautiful? You? Please, you look like a 5ft rabbit that got lost on its way to the farm. 😂”

Gold: “WHAT?! A 5ft rabbit?! At least I don’t walk around shirtless like a village madman with a panla face!”
And for your information, I was only heading to the bathroom to take a bath! Look here, these are my clothes…”
She shoved her clothes in front of Tunde’s face as proof but still avoided looking at him directly.
Gold: “And what’s with you walking around like this without a shirt? Aren’t you ashamed? Don’t you dare come out like this again!”
She was saying all this without looking at him, which made Tunde understand how flustered she really was.
He decided to tease her a little and started moving closer to her.
Tunde: “But I think someone else is feeling very shy right now. What’s wrong? Look at me… here.”
Tunde was now standing very close to Gold, and she started stepping back.
Tunde leaned in closer, almost to her face, when Gold pushed him away and quickly ran into the bathroom.
Seeing her run away like that, Tunde couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Inside the bathroom,
Gold leaned against the door, breathing heavily. She was still thinking about what had just happened.
Tunde’s shirtless image, with his wet hair and sharp features, kept flashing in her mind. He looked so attractive that Gold found it hard to concentrate.
Gold (thinking): “Why did he come so close to me? I know he hates me and likes Amara. But despite knowing all this, why does my mind go blank whenever I see him? And did he just call me a 5ft rabbit?! No… no… this is nothing. I just need to stay away from him.”
After calming herself down, Gold took her bath, while Tunde got ready and started working on his laptop.
He usually went to the gym or worked on his office tasks in the mornings, but today, he felt like skipping the gym.
A little while later,
Gold came out of the bathroom. She was wearing a beautiful red dress that Aisha had given her for the first day of her marriage.
Her long hair was left open, wet from her bath, and she wore the necklace Tunde had placed around her neck during the wedding. The red color complimented her fair, delicate face, making her look stunning.
As Gold walked to the mirror and started drying her hair, Tunde noticed her but pretended not to.
However, as she dried her hair, Tunde couldn’t stop himself from staring. Gold looked so beautiful that he found himself completely mesmerized.
Tunde (murmuring): “She looks so beautiful.”
Gold heard his voice but couldn’t catch the words.
Gold: “Did you say something?”
Tunde: “What? Me? Oh… I was just saying, stop dripping water everywhere. You’re ruining my floor.”
And with that, Tunde went back to his laptop, acting indifferent.
Gold walked to the balcony to finish drying her hair.
When she returned, Tunde looked up from his laptop.
Tunde: “If you’re done, Mom was calling you downstairs. She came while you were bathing.”
Tunde’s voice snapped Gold out of her thoughts. She nodded and headed downstairs, where Aisha was waiting in the kitchen.
Aisha: “Good morning, Gold! How are you?”
Gold: “Good morning, Mummy. Sorry for waking up late.”
Aisha: “Oh, no worries. I understand. And… my son didn’t trouble you much last night, did he?”
Gold was startled by Aisha’s question and looked at her, confused.
Aisha: “Oh no, I mean, he didn’t say anything rude to you, right?”
Hearing this,
Gold recalled Tunde calling her “characterless” and also calling her a “5ft rabbit” and felt a pang of sadness, but she simply shook her head with a forced smile.
Aisha: “Good. If he ever says something mean, come straight to me. I’ll fix him.”
Hearing this, Gold couldn’t help but smile.
Just then, Bukola entered the kitchen.
Bukola: “Wow, Mom. You’re ready to punish your beloved son for your sister-in-law? We never got this kind of support!”
Aisha laughed while Gold smiled softly. The light-hearted banter made her feel more at ease in her new home.
Later that morning, everyone was gathered for breakfast. Gold decided she was going to prepare breakfast for her new family that day.
But she didn’t know was that things won’t turn out the way she expected it to be on her first breakfast with her family.
What could possibly go wrong? Is this part of Tunde’s plans to make her leave the marriage?
